The Best Years Group was born out of watching our grandmother live out her so-called “golden years” in a nursing home environment of isolation, over-medication, and malnourishment. She became immobile and bound to a wheelchair. We believe her story could have been different if only she had been supported through a lifestyle of community, movement, and good nutrition. We are committed to changing the story for others and have worked tirelessly to educate and promote wellness for seniors in our community and beyond.Alison Lively & Alicia Bliss
Meet Alison Lively
Alison Lively is a Certified Health Coach and Natural Health Educator dedicated to bringing the most accurate, up-to-date and helpful information to each individual she works with. She received her doctorate in Naturopathy from Trinity College of Natural Health and has extensive knowledge in the science of Ayurveda. She earned her Health Coach certification from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute.
Alison’s own health issues with chronic, severe allergies prompted her natural healing journey. Doctors prescribed a plethora of inhalers and pills, but nothing worked, so she turned to alternative therapies.
The moment she began to focus on diet and natural supplements, she finally found relief. She also found her calling: to help others through the science of Naturopathy, using means other than medicine to assist the body to heal itself.
Alison has authored and taught wellness courses for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Furman University and speaks throughout the community to educate and inspire people to take control of their health.
